| The World Health Care Networks inaugural conference held in Auckland, New Zealand in July has been a resounding success story for the Australian General Practice Network (AGPN) and General Practice New Zealand (GPNZ).
AGPN CEO Leanne Wells said the feedback has provided AGPN and GPNZ with a clear mandate that this networking concept for primary health care is needed and highly valued. “The evaluation results are vital to us because they help us to plan for the next WHCN Conference, which is to be held in Cairns from Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 July 2012,” Ms Wells said. The evaluation of the conference, conducted by UltraFeedback, showed that overwhelmingly delegates were highly satisfied with this event. Delegates were asked to rate various aspects of the conference from its venue to the program, out of a score of one to five. Out of the 164 respondents, 90% rated the conference four to five (being highly satisfied), while only one percent rated it at two. Respondents were also asked to rate from one to three their satisfaction with the learning objectives for this conference. On average the response was 2.3 – an impressive result given the density of the program on offer throughout the three day event. UltraFeedback’s analysis also delved into respondents rating the speakers for each day. Overall the speakers all rated highly with the ‘stand out’ speakers being:
AGPN’s Marketing and Events Manager, Trisha Wong, was pleased to note that the Table Top presentations were very well received with 85% of respondents saying they were “just right”. “The Table Top presentations are very challenging but also an invigorating way to develop a conference program and many delegates would have been new to this concept,” Ms Wong said. “To know that respondents enjoyed them and got a lot out of them very much helps to inform us about our next program for WHCN,” she said. “Was this a ‘text book’ conference? Just about, given this analysis and going by the number of delegates who actively commented to us very positively throughout the event and as they were leaving, which was very satisfying,” she said. |
